The Risk Educations for MC consists of two parts. The first part is a theoretical course, Risk Education Part 1 (Risk 1), and the second is a practical course, Risk Education Part 2 (Risk 2), where you will practice different elements and learn how to deal with risk situations that may occur in traffic.
In order to take the theory test and practical test for motorcycle, you must have passed both of these courses.
When you book your Risk Education Part 2 (Practical Training), a motorcycle loan for the intended skill is also included.

Risk 1 + 2 MC - Same day
Risk Education part 1 & 2 in Stockholm
Your courses:
- MC Risk Education part 1 (Theoretical)
- MC Heavy Risk Education part 2 (Practical)
The course starts 15 minutes after the time stated on the confirmation, to enable you to check in at reception with sufficient time. We encourage you to arrive well before the course starts. You are welcome to wait in our café in the main entrance. There you can purchase refreshments or light meals.
The teachers will then call you together with other students who will be doing the same course. Follow the teachers’ instructions.
In case of cancellation and rebooking, we refer to our terms and conditions of purchase that you agreed to during your booking/purchase of Risk Education at Gillinge. You can find the terms on our external booking page boka.gillinge.se/shop. The same place, as where you pay your training. You log in to your account to cancel and reschedule.
All courses are held in Swedish. It is therefore important that if you feel uncertain about your Swedish language skills, you bring someone with you who can help you interpret throughout the course.
In order for us to be able to report to the Transportstyrelsen (Swedish Transport Agency) that you have successfully completed your Risk Education, you must be able to present valid identification at the start of the course. The teacher will take your ID from you in the study room.
Completed training is reported immediately to the Transportstyrelsen.

Risk Education part 2 - Risk 2
Risk Education part 2 for MC in Stockholm
Practise common accident situations at our road safety training site.
Risk Education Part 2 MC is a practical course that deals with the risks that can arise when driving a motorcycle. The course is approximately 5 hours long, including breaks.
You will get to experience situations that commonly lead to accidents and learn how to act to avoid them. Overestimating your own abilities, dangerous behaviour and interaction with other road users are other aspects covered. The exercises consist of driving a motorcycle on country roads at real speeds.
Loan of a motorcycle is included in your Risk Education Part 2 (Practical training)
- Feel free to bring your own long underwear, other protective equipment is available to borrow. If you have an unusual size, you need to bring your own CE-approved protective equipment.
We offer courses on both weekdays and weekends, so visit our online store and see if you can find a date that suits you.
Risk Education part 2 includes:
- Speed
- Safety and security
- Driving under special conditions
Among other things, you should be able to:
- Performing hard accelerations
- Sharp deceleration from high speeds
- Driving a motorcycle independently
Do not book an appointment before you have practiced enough to pass the above elements! If we judge that your prior knowledge is not good enough, we will cancel you education for safety reasons.
Once you have passed the course, we will notify Transportstyrelsen (the Swedish Transport Agency) that you have been approved.

Risk Education part 1 MC - Risk 1
Risk Education part 1 for MC in Stockholm
Risk Education part 1 lasts approximately 4 hours, including breaks, and does not include any driving; it is entirely theoretical training.
We offer courses on both weekdays and weekends, so visit our online store and see if you can find a date that suits you.
You will be approved by actively participating in the training where we place great emphasis on reflecting and discussing various risk behaviors in traffic. We talk about why they occur, what you can do to reduce the risks and talk about different situations where fellow road users have difficulty interacting with motorcycle drivers.
Risk Education part 2 includes:

- Safety and security
- Driving under special conditions
Once you have passed the course, we will notify Transportstyrelsen (the Swedish Transport Agency) that you have been approved.

Rent a motorcycle for your driving test
Do you need to rent a motorcycle for your driving test?
At Stockholms Trafiksäkerhetscenter Gillinge you can now rent a Honda CB 750 Hornet heavy MC for your driving license test. We also rent out middle class and 125s.
We’ll set up the motorbike for you at the test site.
You rent the motorcycle in the morning or afternoon. 07.30-12.30 or 12.30-17.30.
Motorcycle clothing can also be rented from us. Whole or parts of equipment.
The cost is 2000 SEK per half day. Paid at the checkout at the time of rental.
Clothing is 50 SEK per item. Contact the reception for booking and more info.
Things to consider before your Risk Education
Arrive in time
– Double check the times for your course and arrive in time
Bring your ID with you
Dress for the season
– Several of the exercises are done outdoors, so wear shoes and clothes suitable for the season
Interpreter if needed
– Bring your own interpreter if you are unsure of the language. Please let us know before booking that you are bringing your own interpreter.
Cafeteria
– At Gillinge we have a large café serving weekly lunches and light snacks, where you are welcome to buy something to eat if you get hungry!
Make sure you have practiced driving before
– Risk Education is done at the end of your training, otherwise it can be difficult to complete the exercises and pass.
Zero tolerance for alcohol or drugs
– We have a zero tolerance policy, so be prepared to take a breathalyzer test.
