Safety driving

High-quality road safety education with a focus on vehicle handling and road safety

About the education

High-quality road safety training, packed with experiences and challenges in traffic for both vehicles and people. The driver’s awareness and understanding of risks grows along with a realization of their own choices. A full day of exercises on the track, interspersed with theory.

Active theory in Behavior, Risks and Attitudes. The vehicle’s safety system is linked to the driver’s experiences and analyzed in groups.

Introduction

Review of the objectives and purpose of the training, coffee and the day’s program.

The purpose of the education

Creating a safer working environment for employees who drive for work, such as home care workers and security guards, and reducing the costs of vehicle accidents. Theoretical elements aim to increase participants’ awareness of risk factors in the traffic environment.

Implementation

Practical exercises at low speed, maneuvering in confined spaces, reversing with rear-view mirrors, pocket parking and driving safety at high speed. It’s education in driving with a focus on vehicle handling from a road safety perspective. This is combined with theoretical exercises and discussions.

The education contains:

  • Evaluation of technical systems, for example: (ESP), ABS ev. Car brakes
  • Reference braking on slippery and rough surfaces at varying speeds
  • We experience and test the crash sled and rollover car in the safety hall
  • Discusses seat belt use and belt tensioners
  • How does kinetic energy affect safety? What happens to things that are loose in the car or loaded?
  • Deformation zones and crashworthiness.
  • What role do car tires have? What is good to consider when driving?
  • Road conditions that affects the handling and speed of the car
  • Risk factors and impact with daylight, dusk/dawn, fog/darkness and wildlife hazards
  • Do speed and crash rates affect drivers? How can drivers think? The ability to avoid critical situations
  • Evasive maneuvers/curves and steering past obstacles. Safety margins when driving
  • How to use the car’s protective equipment correctly

Conclusion

Summary and certification of the day’s training.
